The Island Search

The only area where a lvl11+ could do nothing is the Island of Dawn, so now its time to go back and remember the old memories!

Get on your mount and look for numbers all around the island!

The Game:

There are signs placed all around the island with a number written on them. The numbers are random, there's no order (i.e 18695, 5643, 240). The signs can be placed anywhere so look around attentively! Dont forget to search the whole island, even the "deleted" part of it. You can group up or solo search.

The player(s) who find(s) the most numbers, get(s) the 10 mwa reward.

[Only one player can get the reward, if you were in party, agree with your party members on the distribution. In the case of a tie, the players (ended at the 1st place) will get the reward distributed equally. (2 players ->5-5, 3 players ->3-3-3)]

(The numbers are only accepted if the player PMs it to an officer.)

Have Fun!

Shadow's message :)

Hey my guildie! :)

I decided to share some of my thoughts about the guilds and guild events with you. ^^ Some of my friends asked some questions that i collected and i would like to answer them now, maybe you are interested aswell.

If you have a little time, please read it. :)

What is a good guild like?

Starting with a hard question... Well a guild should meet guildies' expectations. People in the guild must feel that they are taking part in a community, that they are in a friendly relationship with the others. I was always aiming for recruiting friendly players only, because an environment with nice people make alot more fun than the others. There might be some players that join a guild only to have the access to the alliance system, but i am quite sure that most players expect getting new friends and meeting new people by joining.

A good guild should also be organized. An unorganized guild is like a mass of people, it has no point, there is friend list just to keep contact. It is not a 'must' but good if it is natural, that guildies help each other. I am trying to make people more open-minded and make them feel comfortable with asking the others for help, because -in the end- this is a guild's most important goal.

What is a good guild master like? (GM - guild master now)

Uhh... okay. I think the guild master title shows that a GM's main focus should be on his guild, to lead people, help them, keep things organized within the community. A good GM is online as much as possible, for this, when i am busy i always leave my character logged in and check it every 10-15 min, so people can contact me if they had any problems or questions.

A good GM is friendly. It is terrible when someone is like a dictator or is unbeliveably selfish. Pfff. It is a game, so it is for making players have fun. An unfriendly, selfish person (that acts like an @ss) takes everyone's motivation to play. Personally i really like to talk to friendly people, meet new personalities, hear others' opinion. I try to keep the direct contact with everyone to make them trust me, however its important to leave the things going as it would, sometimes. So in the end noone feels stress and have the freedom and free time to do some own things. And a last thing for the GM topic, a good guild master is always opened to recieve his guildies' feedback about the guild or about himself aswell. :)

What about guild activities?

A guild should have activities, a mass of people doing nothing has no point. The goal of these activities -in my opinion- is bringing people closer to each other and making them feel more like a big family. :)

These activities shouldnt be too often because then the events loose their speciality. However guild members shouldnt feel bored, so these activities can turn a hard day into a funny evening and make people have some fun.

What are these activities?

Well you know we are doing some dungeons (which was a bit unorganized nowadays, but will get better after the exams are over for some people), and there are some guils events aswell with minigames.

How do you prepare for an event?

Well first of all i ask people if they want it or not. Nothing is a 'must', these events are only additional activities, worth to make only if there is enough motivation. For these events, i have made a storyline for those, who like the feeling of some kind of roleplay. With this story, participants know why they are doing what they are doing, and it is not just like a random task. The story alone can be interesting as well maybe, i dont know. >.> The storyline and the organization aswell as the required items, characters or rewards are made by me, sometimes with the help of a friendly guild mate. <3

What is the goal of organizing events like this and what do you do for it?

Three words: fun, fun and fun. :D Well there are some additional goals aswell. I am quite sure, when a player is leveling a character, his first goal is reaching lvl60 as soon as possible. The developers know that aswell, so nearly a year ago they nerfed a lot of monsters, quests, some areas were just deleted or the quest was deleted that used to send players to the area. (island of Dawn, Arcadia, BAMs, Dragonfall, Fane of Kaprima, BTHM, ACHM, etc.) Tho players can lvl up now extremely fast, this speed has some disadvantages aswell.

Tera world is beautiful.

I noticed the little details and things after a year of gameplay and i was amazed. My goal with the 'find the signs' events is to make my guildies go out into the world of tera, to travel a bit and not just do the same Bastion>WH,SF,KG>Bastion>KN>Habere>Vault>Kaiator>Bastion circles over and over again.

I am trying to place these events to the most beautiful parts of tera world. I always travel around the place myself before deciding to make an event there. I make sketches for the events on paper, find out the position and texts of signs and also travel around again to measure the time how long it could take. The story must also match the game environment, that is why i have to prepare for the event long before.
All in all, some days of work, some minutes of fun for guildies, totally worth it ofc. =)

Thanks for the questions, and i hope you agree with my points. Please leave a message, give a feedback or argue with me, if you feel like something is missing or you just have any other thoughts. :)

Thanks for reading, see you in game :)

Event #3

The Old King and the Queen heard what happened! They immediately started searching after Neiro and Adhira.

[The 5 kingdoms have been fighting for a hundred years already, so the King was sure that one of his enemies is trying to destroy his kingdom.]

He sent 4 delegations to the other kingdoms to find out where the kids are and reveal the truth.

Find the right character in each area, and ask for help!

_________________________________

The game:

There will be 4 characters placed in each area (Velika Outskirts, Poporia, Val Aureum, Arcadia). Each charter -if found- will give its founder a clue where the kids could be. However you cannot trust them, only one of them will give a true answer.
You should now work together with your guildmates, form pairs or choose solo players to find these characters, and share their message with your mates.
Solve the logic quiz and find the right place where the kids are kept, together!

These are huge areas, how to find the characters then? They are always placed relative close to the main city/town of the area. Here are 4 pictures that were taken just next to the guys you are looking for, to make it easier to find them :)

Find Zero in Velika Outskirts!

Find Volperon in Poporia!

Find Flick in Val Aureum!

Find Billie in Arcadia!

Now you have all the information you need to accomplish the challenge; it is no rush, dont forget to have fun! :P

Event #2

Otin, the thief was caught, the necklace was given back to Shadow, the little princess.

However our heroes were really interested why this amulet was so important, and kept asking the princess over and over again. Finally the princess shared the the story of the amulet with the brave fighters...

______________________________________________________

Firfty years ago, when Neiro and Adhira were just 8 years old, the two kids left their castle to play a bit in the nature. The sun was shining and some animals were playing around in peace when the little Adhira noticed a beautiful waterfall not far from there. They were amazed that they immediately wanted to visit the waterfall.

After getting to the waterfall and swimming in the lake, they were about to go back to the castle, however they lost the way and forgot how to get back. They wandered into a huge gorge surrounded by high cliffs.

None of them arrived home that day...

The game:

Last time, You had an easy task following the signs. Now there is no clue where and how Adhira and Neiro disappeared. Look for a sign, find the place where they were last seen/heard in order to find the reason!

The first player who finds the sign and PMs the word(s) on it to the GM ((Shadowprincess)) will win the minigame. :) You have 15 minutes to find the sign. The first-place reward is "8 MWA", the 2nd place reward is "3 mwa",  sent by parcel after the event.

Background story

Once upon a time, there was a little princess called Shadow. Shadow was the only daughter of the mighty king, King Neiro and Queen Adhira. They lived in the fortress of Zulfikar in peace, far from any wicked souls.

However on a rainy sunday afternoon, a warrior broke into the fortress, killed the guards and stole the most valueable jewel of the princess, her golden necklace! The thief can not escape! The Royal Family looks for brave and skilled wanderers to solve the case and catch the thief. Your efforts wont stay without rewards...

________________________________________________________

The Game:

Your goal to win is finding the thief hiding somewhere in Tera world. You have two ways to do this.

If you are an experienced player or you are teamed up with one, and you want to test your tera knowledge, you can answer the 15 question quiz. Each correct answer means points for you. If you complete the quiz, the position of the thief will be automatically given.

If you are more an explorer, you can find and follow the signs that the thief left behind while escaping. A starting point will be given where you should start your adventure in order to find the signs around. Be careful, the signs can be tricky, think before choosing a direction to go.

The quiz gets harder question by question, as its challenging to find the signs as well. Are you lower level? Have you been playing only for a short time? No problem, these tasks are planned to be solved by a party of two people (one exp and one lower lvl/unexp), tho it is optional, you can solve the tasks for the full reward.

[Each player gets half of the reward if the challenge was completed by a party.]

If you find the thief, trade with him, and get Shadow's necklace back to her! The first three players get rewards:

1.   8 Master Enigmatic Scrolls
2.   8 Masterwork Alkahests
3.   300 gold

For the challenge, you have 30 minutes. Ready? Have fun! =)
